TITLE
ABOUT
This mural was created on the cooling tower wall near the unfinished 14-story Britanika hotel — one of Kaunas’ most notorious “ghost buildings.” Once envisioned as a 500-room luxury hotel in 1986, the structure stood abandoned for decades, looming over the city as a monument to stagnation.
The piece reimagines the classic biblical moment — David versus Goliath — within the urban landscape: a symbolic shot fired at the architectural giant that has haunted Kaunas for years. The mural’s composition suggests confrontation and courage, transforming decay into dialogue.
It took half a year to obtain all the necessary permits, but only a single weekend to complete the 13-meter-tall artwork. The “shot” was precise and fast — a reminder that even long-standing urban problems can be challenged through creative action.
