ABOUT
The staircase leading from Laisvės Avenue up to “Pelėdos” Hill splits at one point and reconnects a few steps higher. Surrounded by trees, the place feels like a small park — and right there stands a modest structure, almost like a storage shed, supporting the stairs. I call such places “golden spots” in the city — locations that naturally invite art. They’re visible, well-framed by their surroundings, and seem meant for a mural.
The concept revolved around fragility — paper and posters are delicate materials that with time peel, decay, and reveal what lies behind: death. It’s a symbolic fusion of two mediums — mural painting and poster art — where impermanence meets permanence.
I’m not sure how well I managed to convey this contrast between the temporary and the lasting, but that tension was at the heart of the piece.
Personal project.
