TITLE

The Village

ABOUT

This mural is part of the “Murals for Communities” project, funded by the Creative Europe programme.

It’s inspired by stories shared by local residents. In the early days, this typical Soviet-era housing district still felt much like a village — people could buy fresh milk straight from a cow, and neighbors knew each other by name. The large stones depicted in the mural were actually brought from nearby construction sites by a local tractor driver who lived in the area. Alongside him, a few figures of the old farming generation bring the scene to life, blending the district’s rural past with its urban present.

Organized by VšĮ “Inovatyvūs kūrybiniai projektai”.
