ABOUT ME

My name is Timotiejus Norvila, but I am better known as Morfai—a pseudonym I have used since creating my first works on the streets of Kaunas. Born in 1985 in Vilnius, I now live and work in Kaunas, primarily focusing on murals and site-specific art projects. As one of the first street artists in Lithuania, I have built a diverse portfolio over years of creative work. My most famous work, The Star Sower, went viral in 2008 and continues to be shared across the internet today. In 2020, I won Art Vilnius for the best installation-sculpture.

My creative practice extends beyond walls — I also paint on canvas, create contemporary artworks, design objects, and illustrations. In my studio, I work actively and regularly offer new pieces for collectors. Among my key painting series are Cutting Canvas and Noise, developed in contrasting techniques that highlight my ongoing exploration of form, structure, and expression.

I am drawn to beauty and classical art, with a deep fascination for form and shape. In my current work, I am intentionally limiting myself to one specific style to explore it more deeply. By embracing this focus, I aim to avoid the temptation of spreading creativity across too many directions, allowing for more profound and cohesive
artistic development.
