I came, I saw, I drew

ABOUT

This series of murals was my first project funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture (Lietuvos kultūros taryba). Created during the lockdown period, when most indoor venues were closed, the project allowed me to work outdoors, alone. I selected buildings and objects around Kaunas that caught my eye and brought them to life with playful illustrations.

The murals feature five characters — an artist, a drummer, two railway workers, and Sisyphus — each integrated into their surroundings. The railway workers, for example, appear near the Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant, a location where their presence feels perfectly natural. The cartoon style, with bold black outlines and expressive characters, is one of my favorites, and working on it was both fun and creatively liberating.

This project also marked the beginning of my vlogging journey, documenting the process for the first time and later inspiring several more series.
