TITLE
Not All Elephants Are Grey
ABOUT
The idea for this mural was suggested by the head of the educational institution “Žilvitis”, and the children from the kindergarten themselves took part in the creative process.
The main character of the painting is Elmer the Elephant, recognizable from the children’s book “Elmer the Patchwork Elephant” by British author David McKee.
For this work, I used a coloring technique based on vivid, sometimes even contrasting strokes, which brings the mural to life and adds an artistic, textured richness to the surface. Texture always works beautifully in murals – it gives them depth and a more natural, organic feel.
The Kaunas City Municipality funded the project.
