GP Dealer

ABOUT

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Lithuania introduced the Galimybių pasas (GP, or “green pass”), a QR code required to access shopping malls and other public spaces. As this system emerged, so did informal, underground offerings of the pass.

To capture this brief, surreal moment in time, I created a street art piece on a wooden panel depicting a Peaky Blinders–style dealer discreetly offering the passes. With his long coat, hat, and glasses, he seems to whisper: “Psst… GP?” — a playful yet ironic commentary on the unusual circumstances of lockdown life.

The artwork has survived on the wall for years and remains visible in 2025, weathered but intact. It serves as a small reminder of a strange, segregated moment in history — one we hope not to repeat.
